Description: Field [LOC_FAULT] describes the location of bedrock polygons with respect to the major north-south faults and the direction of fault motion: west_down, middle_up, or east_down. This is used to separate areas of the aquifer where water levels are not related to one another statistically. The faults separate the water level fields. These data come from the field of the same name is Bedrock_feature_classes, bgpg_c21_c20.Wells_all_v2 is currently the same as wells_all_v1. I need to delete unnecessary fields. I copied well_cwipt3_merge1 to wells_all_v1. I added the following fields [ELV3M_LDAR_M], [ELV3M_LDAR_FT], [ELV30M_LDAR_FT], [ELEV_FT_BEST], [ELEV_BEST_METH], [SWL_DATE], [SWLMEAS], [SWLELEV], and [SWLSOURCE]. [ELV3M_LDAR_M] is the lidar elevation from the 3-meter grid in meters.[ELV3M_LDAR_FT] is the lidar elevation from the 3-meter grid in feet. [ELV30M_LDAR_M] is the lidar elevation from the 30-meter grid in meters.[ELV30M_LDAR_FT] is the lidar elevation from the 30-meter grid in feet. [ELEV_FT_BEST] is the best elevation I have for any point. If LiDAR data are available and I have a mapping-grade or engineering-grade GPS data point, then I used the 3-meter LiDAR, If I had LiDAR and a CWI verified location. then I used the 30-meter LiDAR grid. If the well is outside of the LiDAR grid, then I used the CWI elevation.[ELEV_BEST_METH] lists the method used to get a surface elevation. [SWL_DATE] is the date a static water level was measured. [SWLMEAS] is the depth to water. [SWLELEV] = [ELEV-FT-BEST] - [SWLMEAS]. [SWLSOURCE] is the source of [SWLMEAS]. The [shape] field has been updated for 145 well records, where a mapping grade or engineering grade GPS unit was used to collect the well location with submeter accuracy. Added records for two DNR obwells that were not in datafile and moved location of one obwell to GPS coordinates from obwell database. All three obwells placed according to GPS coordinartes. Added Obwell 10002 (Relateid 0000272023) and Obwell 43006 (Relateid 0000773242). Moved location of Relateid 0000773241 (Obwell 43005). The location of other obwells has been left as the original located position from CWI. (The obwell database UTM coordinates differ slightly from many of the CWI verified locations, but the variation is not significant at 1:100,000 or county scale.) Field [AQUIFER_Q] has been interpreted from the cross sections for cross section lines 07 - 24, 27, 29, 34, and 37. [AQUIFER_Q] in this file has been populated from the cross section data in file x50_all_conpy.shp. These data are incomplete, but adequate to start selecting wells to sample. The missing cross section data will be added later. ----------------------------------------------------- Field [CARVERCHEM] equals "yes" if there is chemistry data from the Carver County 1993 Well Testing Baseline Project. ----------------------------------------------------- well_cwipt3_Merge1 contains 8979 records. 8952 records are all of the wells from the CWI verified location shapefile that are inside buffer bounpy.shp. 27 records are from DNR obwells that were not included in the CWI verified location file. Their location has been verified by DNR Waters. These data are located in records 8953-8979. I also updated the UTME and UTMN coordinates and the SHAPE field for all obwells that were in the CWI wells with verified locations if the well locations had been GPSed. I updated the [ELEVATION] field if either engineering grade GPS measurements or LEVEL measurements of elevation were available. Data in fields X and Y are UTM locations from the driller's location in the unverified well location data set. The numbers in these two fields are wrong. Use location data from the shape field and UTME and UTMN. ----------------------------------------------------- well_cwipte_Merge1.shp does NOT include all of the SWUDS data. If wells in the CWI verified location data happen to serendipitously include SWUDS data, then it is in this dataset. Otherwise it is not included. I need to go back and add SWUDS data later. But, it is not necessary to add all of the SWUDs data prior to making cross sections to set up well sampling. ----------------------------------------------------- Obwell 10003 is not included in well_cwipt3_Merge1.shp because the Relateid listed in the obwell database (247286) does not exist in the CWI database. The obwell database manager is checking on this discrepancy.
